Entrepreneurial to our core, our talented team members transcend obstacles into opportunities and are successfully transforming mid-market business practices.ResponsibilitiesAssist with leading the proposal, planning and delivery of corporate insolvency services including identifying the strategic, operational and financial challenges of a business, recommending immediate stabilizing activities, providing operational and performance improvement advice and addressing debt restructuring, refinancing or recovery needsAssist with data analysis, review of accounting records and the development of financial modelsAssist with executing formal and informal restructurings and administer formal insolvency appointments including bankruptcies, proposals, receiverships, CCAAs, liquidations, etc.Develop relationships with special loan financiers, insolvency lawyers, business executives, etc.Assist with preparing and reviewing all relevant statutory documentation associated with BIA, CCAA, Wind-Up Acts, Business Corporation Acts, etc.Assist with managing engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)Assist with identifying innovative ways to deliver added value to stakeholders; ensure stakeholders’ needs are metMaintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the businessNetwork in the local business community, consider business development opportunities and assist with the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet stakeholders’ needsMentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviewsContribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processesMaintain flexibility to travel, as necessarySkills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a related fieldCompletion of a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) certification and working to become a Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT)Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset5+ years of insolvency experience, specifically corporate insolvency experienceStrong knowledge of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency ActExperience in business and practice developmentMyRewards@MNPMore than a paycheque, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards for our team members.
