Description : Saskatchewan Blue Cross, one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers, is currently recruiting for a full-time permanent Manager, Project Management Office to join our Project Management Office (PMO). This position offers the flexibility to participate in hybrid options based in our Saskatoon or Regina office.JOB FUNCTION The Manager, Project Management Office is responsible for overseeing the PMO’s day-to-day operations, ensuring that programs, projects and sustainment initiatives are executed efficiently and align with the company’s strategic objectives and annual business plan. This role provides leadership, oversight and support to the project teams to ensure successful completion of initiatives. This position will report directly to the SVP, Chief Technology Officer. Provide recommendations on any possible changes needed based on current project statusPerform ongoing review of project status; identify and provide recommendations on possible project risks, and implement risk mitigation solutions as approved and as appropriateSupport change management and work with teams to integrate organizational change management activities into the overall project plansAnalyze project scope to make recommendations on estimated time frames and appropriate processes for accomplishing workImplement project communication plans and ensure continuous, clear, concise, and timely communication with respect to decisions and changesFoster a culture of continuous development and process improvement within the organizationPrepare and present regular project status reports to leadershipQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLSBachelor’s in Business, Applied Management or a related field with several years progressively responsible experience in Project Management. An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered5+ years of project management experience with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory accountabilityExtensive experience in Agile project management methodology is requiredPrevious experience and strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PMI, Prince II or Agile) is requiredExtensive experience utilizing Jira is requiredStrong knowledge of project planning/scheduling tools including Microsoft Project, Project Online, and Jira, with solid track record of practical applicationSkilled in identifying, assessing and mitigating project risksThe successful candidate will be required to undergo a background checkMust be legally entitled to work in Canada on an unrestricted basis
