Our Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will play a pivotal role in providing the key insights that shape our strategic direction and decision-making processes. The cornerstone of this role will involve developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive financial models that underpin our budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning across our global entities. Acting as our blackbelt of financial modelling with a proven track record in FP&A, this role will seamlessly blend business strategy into a growth-focused roadmap. Reporting directly to the CFO and collaborating closely with Argo’s executive leadership and finance teams, this position is a launchpad for success, with guaranteed professional and personal growth, in a highly successful team.RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive financial models to support the budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes of our multiple entities globallyPartner with the Department Leaders and the Finance team to develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plansPartner with Department Leaders and the Finance team on monthly and quarterly variance analysis to budget and prior period forecastDevelop robust financial models to support growth initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, market expansions and financing opportunities. Apply these insights to analyze the impact of changes to business drivers and the costing rates on department-level performanceProactively work with the Manager of Data Analytics and the Finance team to improve both financial models and business intelligence toolsEnhance and streamline existing processes to compile, analyze and report on monthly financial results, including identifying trends and opportunities for improvementAssist in preparing presentations in support of board meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings and various strategic committees of the companyPrepare and present clear, concise, and insightful financial reports for the Executive Team, including actionable insights and risk mitigation recommendationsAct as a key resource for our internal and external IR departments by generating materials and analysis to support RNS releases and investor presentationsSupport the Finance team as needed on various accounting tasks such as month-end reporting and reconciliationChampion continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reportingYOUR EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS5 - 7 years of progressive experience in FP&A (experience applying FP&A in bitcoin mining or crypto environments would be an asset)CPA/CA designation would be an assetExceptional analytical and financial modelling abilities, adept at conducting ad hoc analysis and extracting valuable business insightsStrong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex topics in a distilled mannerGeneral Financial Knowledge (P&L, Cash Flow, Working Capital)Expert-level knowledge in both Excel and the construction of executive presentationsAdvanced knowledge of the Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, and Slides)Fluency in English (verbal and written) at a professional level is requiredFluency in French would be an asset but is not requiredA track record of success in delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentA “self-starter” who has the ability to work independently and within a team environmentSKILLS AND ABILITIESAnalytical and critical thinking skills paired with the ability to identify and communicate strategic opportunitiesResults and deadline-driven, organized, and able to multi-task with the willingness to adapt to the rapid business and organizational demands that result from a high-growth environmentA natural ability to think creatively and problem-solve under pressureGrowth-focused, big-picture thinkerCollaborative, flexible, and open-mindedA high degree of professionalism and business judgmentAn innate ability to foster meaningful relationships with leaders and peers in a remote workplaceThe ability to work with minimal direction in an ambiguous environmentObsessive attention to detailCOMPENSATION PACKAGESalary: $130,000 - $160,000 CAD.
