Durham Rape Crisis Centre (DRCC) is a non-profit feminist organization that believes in the equality of all regardless of race, class, sexual orientation, or gender. We work with and provide crisis support services, counselling (individual and group), advocacy, accompaniment, and support services for survivors of sexual violence and their families/support people.Our team is growing, and we are seeking a highly skilled Finance and Administration Managerto join us in our commitment to contributing to the financial success of our organization. If you are passionate about ending sexual violence, and have the finance and administration skills, this is the opportunity for you!Overview:The Manager of Finance and Administration is responsible for managing all general administration and financial duties of the DRCC. This position is responsible for all aspects of the accounting cycle including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, government remittances, and bank reconciliations. This position will work closely with the Executive Director and will assist with budgeting, account analysis and creating financial reports. This position reports to the Executive Director.Role and Responsibilities:Maintain the financial records using bookkeeping softwareReconcile various accounts, post the journal entries on a regular basis, maintain the ledgers and to prepare all the financial statementsAssist with annual audit preparation including reports, materials and back-up documents as requiredCarry out calculations and appropriate back-up materials for preparing cheques for accounts payablePerform all banking duties which includes deposits, petty cash, and online banking.Responsible for preparing all donation receiptsPrepare and maintain payroll on a biweekly basisReconcile payroll for processing and submission of T4 for government filingManage and maintain group benefits plans for staffPreparation of all the financial, and accounting reports as requested by Executive DirectorPerform general administrative duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing, and maintenance of hard copy and electronic filing systemSupport staff in assigned project based work, including cost tracking, and cost benefit analysisMaintain and update an inventory of all office materialsLiaison with the bank, landlord and other contract service providers.Maintain, support and track all HR/staffing information including sick days, vacation and personnel filesProvide IT services and general maintenance when required.
