Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications, the Manager is an essential part of The Bentway team, working within the Marketing and Communications department to grow attendance and interest in our work, engage audiences, and tell the Bentway story.The core functions of this role are: implementing multi-channel advertising plans, leading collateral development, and overseeing digital communications. This role will work closely with internal and external graphic designers, photographers, videographers, creative agencies, and freelancers to bring the marketing plan to life. The ideal candidate is a savvy project manager, keeps on top of marketing trends, is experienced in advertising and digital marketing, and has a passion for art, city-building, and/or programming in public space.office cultureThis is a hybrid role that will include split time between work-from-home (3 days) and work-from-office (2 days). The Bentway Conservancy is a non-profit organization and registered charity that works closely with the City of Toronto, artists & creatives, and local communities to bring our work to life.key responsibilitiesadvertising and promotionLead the implementation of year-round, multi-channel advertising plans (out of home, transit, social media) in order to drive traffic to events and increase the profile of The BentwayProject manage production of all ads, from briefing to approvals and shippingProject manage production of organizational collateral – event signage, posters, postcards, brochuresCollaborate with external designers, videographers, creative agencies, printers, and more to produce all necessary ads and assetsEnsure ads and collateral are delivered on time and on budgetKeep abreast of marketing and advertising trends and best practices and implement them in marketing plans, where applicabledigital communicationsOversee freelancers in their daily work managing social media, digital content, and the website and fill-in as neededLead the e-newsletter plan, including content planning, writing, approvals, and data analysis, and CRM integrationWrite copy for a variety of marketing and communications materialsWith support from external vendors, act as the website lead in shaping how audiences engage with The Bentway’s online presenceLead strategies for building and growing an engaged followingotherIn collaboration with other teams, lead ticketing needs for all eventsMaintain up-to-date departmental budget and other team administrationSupport Senior Manager on public relations work as neededOccasional onsite, event-day supportOther duties as assignedqualificationsA minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in marketing and communications, with an emphasis on arts and culture, events, or city-buildingExperience leading multi-channel marketing campaignsExcellent project management skills and attention to detailExperience using digital tools to increase brand awareness and drive event attendanceExperience managing social media channels for an organization or companyExperience managing workflows and collaborating with graphic designers, videographers, photographers, and/or creative agenciesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with MailChimp, WordPress, Meta Business Manager, or Later is considered an assetAbility to work occasional evenings and weekends, as neededcompensation·      Annual salary of $60,00-$65,000·      Benefits packageapplicationsThe Bentway is committed to fostering a positive and supportive environment that promotes equity and diversity.
