The School of Communication and Information (SC&I) on the Rutgers-New Brunswick campus houses a dynamic community of scholars who conduct engaged research and teach in the areas of communication, information science, media studies, information technology, journalism, librarianship, organizational and health communication, public relations, and other professional practice areas. Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Manager (Marketing and Administration) for Continuing and Professional Studies ( CPS ) within the School of Communication and Information.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Oversees marketing and communications and supports administrative and business functions of the continuing education unit of the School of Communication and Information.
Works with the school’s Marketing and Communications team and other SC&I offices to assure the success of CPS’s innovative programming and the satisfaction of students who are enrolled.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communication, marketing, or a related field.
A minimum of five years of experience working in a marketing/communication position with some financial/budgeting responsibility.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven experience in marketing and communication roles.
Strong computer skills and experience using Microsoft 365, Adobe Cloud, Canva, or equivalent software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content creation.
Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
The ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, especially in regard to sensitive and confidential organizational matters.
The ability to respond flexibly and positively in all circumstances and to work calmly under pressure.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in communication, marketing, or a related field.
Five years of higher education/non-profit environment.
Knowledge of Rutgers University Marketplace and

enrollment systems.
Customer relationship management software ( CRM ) – Salesforce or TargetX knowledge.
Desktop and laptop computers.
Office software including word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.

Open web applications such as are used by major vendors.
Typical office equipment such as copiers and printers and mail machines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
