Reporting to the Vice-President, Investments, the Manager, Investment Treasury will oversee financial operations, manage liquidity, and optimize cash flow, safeguarding financial stability and supporting FHI’s investment objectives. The ideal person will also play a key role by leading and executing foreign exchange operations and financing activities. Location: Montreal, Quebec Work Schedule: Permanent, Full-time, hybrid in the office 3 days/week WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLE Key responsibilities include: Manage the treasury function for the family office and oversee its cash and investment funding activities, including liquidity management, leverage and funding levels, optimal investment of excess cash, debt payment, and daily operations (account transfers, capital calls and distributions, invoice payments, etc.). Work closely with the investment and accounting teams to monitor, project, and optimize cash positions, including short and long-term cash flow forecasting. Develop new investment tools and strategies to improve the team’s portfolio management (cash investment vehicles, FX trading, derivatives, credit facility, etc.). Maintain extensive market intelligence and banking relationship to ensure the company is well positioned to take advantage of any market opportunities. Participate in investment team’s trading process, including the settlement and reconciliation of trades. Oversee and recommend strategies related to management of financial risks (currency, interest, and counterparty). Create, enhance, and update a Treasury policy and internal procedures / controls. Contribute to special projects and develop key reports for the Investment Team and various stakeholders. WHAT YOU BRING | THE PERSON The ideal candidate has: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or any other related discipline. Five to seven years of investment treasury experience. Similar corporate treasury experience could be considered. Professional certifications (CFA, CPA, CTP) will be considered an asset. Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg. Understanding of capital markets, financial instruments, and cash management techniques. Knowledge of Canadian and international foreign exchange and interest rates markets is considered an asset. Proven ability to work both independently as well as collaborate with team members across functions and at all levels through an open, engaging, and collaborative style.
