WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: Become the primary point of contact for HSE requirements and activities for the account. Communicate HSE needs and results to the Account Leadership Team. Maintain documentation describing the HSE program (playbooks, procedures, etc.) and records required by JLL, regulation, and the client. Support completion and maintenance of Hazard/PPE Assessments for all account locations. Typical hazards for employees working on this team include electrical safety, LO/TO, lone worker, work at heights, and driving safety. Support environmental compliance program (for example, refrigerant management, fuel storage tank management, etc.) Create and maintain a regulatory compliance register for each account location. Play a lead role in the continued development and refinement of JLL’s HSSE culture and training programs on the account. Develop the account training matrix; manage and assign the on-line training requirements; and providetraining/presentationsas needed on specific topics applicable to the account employees. Ensure that accidents, injuries, near misses, good catches, and other events are captured, and the data is managed and reported. Participate with operating sites as needed to lead or support investigations of HSSE events, the analysis of root cause(s), support/track the implementation of effective corrective actions, and prepare communications to share the lessons-learned from such events across the account operations. Support the HSSE Americas team in rolling out new compliance and best management practices programs across the account (and occasionally support JLL-wide HSE activities). Provide supervision, leadership, mentoring and coaching to team members, including providing training to direct reports on an ongoing basis, provide review and feedback on performance, provide technical training and/or mentor junior colleagues, and manage use of leave for personnel. Other duties as reasonably required. WHAT YOU BRING: 7+ years of progressive HSE experience. Degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or relevant field is an asset. Proven record of success with program and project management skills for balancing multi-site activities. Broad based knowledge of Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health regulations. Our client is a Federally regulated entity, while our employees are provincially regulated. Experience working in both regulatory frameworks is an asset. Experience working with environmental compliance requirements associated with facility management is preferred. Experience with public institution facilities and union environments preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills. A proven record of making presentations and providing effective training.
