About the Role

The FP&A Manager will oversee the corporate financial planning and analysis function, collaborate with regional teams to provide insights into business performance for management reporting purposes. Additionally, the incumbent will be involved in the enhancement of the consolidation and reporting software for the FP&A team. This is a critical role in our organization, and we are looking for someone with the right skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate annual budgeting process, working closely with various stakeholders across the organization. This includes consolidating and analyzing regional budgets and preparing reports for senior management;
  • Oversee the monthly forecast process, collaborating closely with regional operating groups and providing functional analysis to senior management;
  • Manage the analysis of quarterly results that support the board reports and MD&A; Responsible for the preparation of comprehensive dashboards with detailed analysis on KPIs for senior management;
  • Work in the enhancement of our consolidation and reporting software for the FP&A team with SMEs and consultants to develop new reports and implement improvements based on our requirements;
  • Coach and mentor team members to help them achieve objectives;
  • Manage and perform ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting required by senior management;

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • 6+ years of experience in analyzing financial information in a complex environment with a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in a leadership role;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in preparing materials for senior management;
  • Solid analytical skills, strategic thinking and decision-making ability;
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with and build relationships with a diverse group at all levels of the organization;
  • Ability to effectively organize time, work and resources to accomplish objectives in the most efficient way;
  • Strong attention to detail; working in a conscientious, consistent and thorough manner;
  • Team leadership skills
  • Background of in-depth financial analysis and management reporting;
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint;
  • Experience using financial systems such as OneStream, TM1, Mercatus, HFM etc. System implementation experience will be considered an asset.

Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 3 days to perform most effectively. We will reassess the approach on a as needed basis.
