Now and for generations to come.QuadReal: Excellence lives here.www.quadreal.comQuadReal is seeking a Manager, Regulatory Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management, reporting to the Director, Risk and Compliance.As an integral member of the Enterprise Risk, Regulatory Compliance and Internal Audit functions, the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing, driving, and executing high-impact regulatory compliance risk projects and supporting the Director in all compliance and enterprise risk initiatives. We are looking for a candidate with strong business acumen, demonstrated attention to detail, excellent stakeholder management, and with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities to meet strict deadlines.ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Compliance and Enterprise Risk ManagementAssist in the design and implementation of Compliance Programs, including AML and Privacy ProgramsExecute Privacy Impact Assessments, and enhance and implement the corresponding methodologyCoordinate Privacy enquiries/ requests and other regulatory requirements enquiries from stakeholders (internal and external, including regulators)Assist in regulatory inquiries, examinations and reporting responsesAssist with the design and execution of compliance audits to ensure the business is in compliance with applicable laws and regulationsAssist in implementing and enhancing enterprise risk management frameworks, compliance risk management framework and operational risk management frameworkAssist in implementing compliance/risk management programs under the various risk management frameworksAssist in developing monitoring and assurance procedures for risk-mitigating strategies and controlsAssist in developing, tracking, and reporting of key risk indicatorsOther ResponsibilitiesIn collaboration with the business, assist in implementing risk and compliance-related policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines for the lines of businessDesign and implement risk and compliance-related training materials and execute training sessionsMay be involved in certain internal audit projectsAssist in preparing board and management presentation materialsExperience RequirementMinimum 5 years’ experience implementing Compliance Programs, including AML and Privacy Programs, for real estate organizations (investment, development, property management or real estate debt), financial services institutions, private equity, or GSIBsExperience in policy implementation for FINTRAC, FINCEN, or OFAC RequirementsFamiliarity with securities law, including OSC, SEC, OSFI, FCA, or OCCAbility to interpret laws rules and regulationsStrong understanding of business processes and internal controlsKnowledge of corporate lending practices in the Real Estate industryExperience conducting compliance testing for Canadian and U.S entitiesSolid understanding of GRC systems used for risk managementPrior experience with Workiva, Resolver, ORX, Charles River Development, and ArcherQualificationsEducation and QualificationsA bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related disciplineCAMS, CSC, CIPP and Series 6 nice to haveKnowledge and SkillsStrong business acumen, with an ability to connect the dots between the business strategy, risks, and control environment, with expertise in risk, control, and governance frameworksExcellent verbal and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with stakeholdersExcellent leadership in leading by example to maintain accountability for quality of work and provide regular coaching for junior team membersCollaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and hard-working team playerStrong project management skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignmentsProven solving mindset and change management skillQuadReal Property Group will provide reasonable accommodation at any time throughout the hiring process for applicants with disabilities or for those needing job postings in an alternate format.
