This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, financial acumen, and strong collaboration skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate development or investment banking, preferably within the cannabis or related regulated industries.Job DutiesM&A Research Support: Assist in conducting detailed industry research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential M&A targets that align with the company's strategic goals.M&A Outreach Assistance: Support the EVP by engaging with potential M&A targets and other stakeholders to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnership.M&A Modeling and Analysis: Provide financial modeling and analysis support for potential acquisitions, including preparing valuation models, scenario analyses, and risk assessments.Presentation and Rationalization Support: Assist in developing presentations for the senior executive team and board of directors, detailing the strategic rationale, financial implications, and integration plans for proposed acquisitions.Due Diligence Coordination: Support the due diligence process by coordinating with internal teams and external advisors, ensuring comprehensive risk assessments are conducted.Strategic Planning Collaboration: Work closely with the EVP and other senior leaders to ensure the M&A strategy is fully aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth plans.Leadership and Team Collaboration: Lead by example and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the corporate development team.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or relevant graduate degree is preferred.A minimum of 4 + years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or management consulting, with a preference for experience in the cannabis industry.Proven track record of supporting successful M&A transactions and strategic initiatives.Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for supporting high-level executives and influencing cross-functional teams.Demonstrated capability in managing projects and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.The FIKA Company respects the diversity of the people it hires and serves.
