If you need accommodation for the interview process, just let us know! #youbelonghere As the Manager of Composition Development, you will supervise a team of developers and QA resources to build and deploy client composition projects to meet the clients’ document management needs. You will recommend products, solutions, and processes that contribute to Symcor’s evolution of application development capabilities and infrastructure. You will play a critical role in overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and support of all composition platforms. You will ensure that business and operational requirements, as well as client commitments, are met in accordance with SLAs. You will provide optimal and highly efficient technical solutions to meet unique customer needs and market demands while working with the Symcor operations team to deliver continuous improvement and process automation. This is a hybrid role with no mandatory days in office. We do expect that the candidate is available to come in for purpose-driven planned, and ad-hoc meetings such as in-person team collaborations, team events, workshops, etc. based on team needs. About The Role: Monitor, coach, develop and assign employees to work/projects. Oversee a hybrid team of full-time, contract and vendor (on/off-shore) resources to provide the optimal resource and skill mix required to fulfill the team’s objectives Oversee the development and implementation of composition platforms and technologies to ensure solutions are available, robust and resilient and in accordance with business and client requirements Work with Project Managers to plan, schedule and oversee execution and delivery of maintenance activities and change requests within established timeframes to ensure platform stability and currency and satisfy client and business needs Manage the team in their capacity as Tier 3 support to address technical support issues, minimize disruption to work and address escalations Reporting to the Director of Development, prepare and manage plans and budgets for the team, adjusting as required to ensure targets are met. Complete resource planning to provide the appropriate support, project delivery and infrastructure maintenance required to meet business needs Support pre-sales activities, internal changes and new client on-boarding to ensure platforms and services can meet the required business needs and client demands, including participating in the solution and joint requirements sessions with clients to ensure efficient and fast on-boarding What You Need to Succeed: Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent Experience: 5+ years of experience in Document Composition Development 2+ years of People Management experience Skill requirements: Proven experience in managing a document composition development team Strong technical background with hands-on experience in high-volume, high-performance document composition tools such as Quadient Inspire, Compuset, or OpenText Dialogue Leadership and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment What’s In It For You At Symcor, we define our success by what we help others achieve.
