Your role

Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance and Administration, Productions, you will administer budget activities for the Productions department, ensure production of the appropriate reports, and provide support on projects managed by the Director. You will also manage the human resources reporting to this position.

Where planning and budgeting are concerned, you will formulate and issue strategic recommendations to management and all departments you serve. You will be responsible for ensuring that budget targets are met, as well as for coordinating budgeting and reconciliation activities. You will also coordinate, consolidate, analyze and prepare surplus/deficit projections, and produce analyses and forecasts relating to transformation initiatives.

You will supervise and monitor closing entries and preparation of the Consolidated Statement of Financial Position (CSFP). Moreover, you will analyze and comment on the CSFP and submit it to management.

Lastly, you will be asked to review financial/administrative procedures and carry out special assignments.

We are looking for a candidate with the following: 

  • University degree in finance or accounting.

  • Recognized accounting designation (CPA or equivalent).

  • Five (5) or more years’ specific budget management experience.

  • Broad knowledge of computer applications (spreadsheets, databases, SAP, etc.).

  • Advanced analytical skills.

  • Team player, with the ability to facilitate change.

  • Solid communication skills.

  • Strategic vision and ability to make information clearly understandable to non-experts, while also tying it into organizational strategies.

  • Superior French-language skills.

  • Good knowledge of English (an asset).
