Job Description
Devcore is looking for a maintenance technician to carry out maintenance and repair work in its apartment buildings.
Responsibilities:
Carry out repairs or refurbishments to dwellings or common areas of buildings, in the following areas:
- Plumbing: replace sinks or drains, faucets, faucet cartridges, install vanities, sinks and toilets, occasional unblocking, etc.
- Electricity: install fixtures and ceiling lights, replace old outlets and switches, smoke detectors, check appliances, etc.
- Plaster and paint: for repairs and refreshments, etc.
- Interior finishing: mouldings, frames, kitchen counters, ceramics, closet shelves and poles, doors and hardware, locks, etc.
- Building envelope: sealing and caulking, occasional concreting, etc.
- Any other tasks related to the maintenance man position, from time to time.
- Possibility of making emergency calls from time to time on evenings and weekends (if desired by employee, paid per outing).
- Five (5) years’ relevant experience in building maintenance and renovation
- Professional qualifications related to construction, renovation and maintenance (an asset!)
- Strong ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to unexpected situations
- Valid and recognized driver’s license
- Must have own vehicle
