Mechanical Technician Pay Rate: $25.00-$28.00 | Mississauga, ON My Client in the medical device industry is seeking a mechanical technician to join their team! Job Description Troubleshoot and maintain machinery on the production floor. Smooth operation and efficiency of our production processes. Will be tasked with maintaining equipment, diagnosing issues, and implementing solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Spare parts inventory procurement and control Troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment issues Completes basic equipment calibrations and maintenances as scheduled Update tool docs when directed by team lead Support resolution of production equipment matters as needed (low to medium level complexity) Continuous improvement projects Support safety initiatives where required Able to relay technical information in a clear and concise manner as needed Support any specific operational needs pertaining to equipment to maintain an efficient production flow. Hard Skills Minimum 2 years of Mechanical Technician experience Diploma in electro-mechanical technician, mechanical technician, or maintenance technician Experience in a regulated industry (aerospace, pharmaceuticals, medical device) Work Environment The work environment is very fast-paced, clean, and well-lit, emphasizing teamwork and protocol adherence. Approximately 40 assemblers work in each department at any given time. Training is provided on the day shift until proficiency is achieved Followed by QMS training on quality and operational protocols via an iPad during the first week. Dress code requirements include business casual attire hair nets lab coats with strict guidelines against denim, makeup, nail polish, and jewelry in cleanroom environments.
