POSITION SUMMARY:

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for keeping things running smoothly? Join our team as a Maintenance Technician, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of our production environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and operational excellence in our plant.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and Prepare Paint Booths: Ensure paint booths are thoroughly cleaned and prepared for production use, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Maintenance Log Management: Maintain and update the maintenance log, documenting all activities and ensuring accurate records.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Oversee the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Operational Efficiency: Suggest and implement improvements to enhance plant operations and efficiency, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Cross-Department Communication: Collaborate directly with supervisors and operations departments to coordinate cleaning efforts and process improvements.
  • Property Maintenance: Clean property structures as required, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
  • Assist with Repairs: Support other maintenance technicians with repairs and maintenance work, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Mechanical Maintenance: Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment as needed, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Air Systems Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on air makeup and exhaust equipment, maintaining air quality standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed maintenance records for all equipment and vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Environmental Conditions: Work effectively in various conditions, including dusty, humid, and noisy environments.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe workplace.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional related duties as assigned by supervisors to support plant operations.


What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and oral communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to work at heights and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to solve basic problems that may arise on the job, demonstrating strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for day-to-day tasks.
  • Prioritization Skills: Ability to prioritize important tasks and respond to emergencies promptly.
  • Versatility: Ability to work in all areas of the plant and perform various jobs to keep the building and equipment in good condition.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills to read, understand, and receive work orders digitally.
  • Equipment Training: Willingness to train in forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, and 5-ton truck operations.
  • Manufacturing Environment: Ability to function effectively within a manufacturing environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10% between the plant and contractors as needed.
