In a busy work environment, the ability to juggle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines is a must.Responsibilities:Manages and directs its teams in the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance on a 24/7 scheduleConducts factory tours to identify and/or evaluate work to be done or in progressPrioritizes, schedules, and distributes work to maintenance teamsEnsures the execution of purchase ordersParticipates in maintenance work as requiredEnsures that all duties and responsibilities are performed in accordance with health and safety policies and proceduresEstablishes and maintains a preventative maintenance program for all plant equipmentEstablishes and maintains an appropriate inventory level of spare partsMaintains and updates drawings of equipment, components, and electrical schematicsWorks in conjunction with equipment manufacturers to implement the best possible solutions to achieve production objectivesEnsures the operation and maintenance of production equipmentEnsures maintenance reports are completed accurately and on timeResponsible for investigations and corrective actions following equipment breakdowns and breakdownsGenerates and implements improvement ideas for production operationsEnsures the management and execution of various works and projects (CAPEX)Is available for emergency and "over-call" outages, as neededEnsures an ongoing training plan for maintenance personnelConducts evaluations of maintenance employeesActively participates within the management team in the implementation of the Continuous Improvement Program (WCM)Any other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organizationRequirements:Degree in a discipline related to industrial maintenanceMinimum of 2 years of experience in supervisory rolesMinimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentExcellent knowledge of preventive maintenance programs (CMMS)Good command of the Microsoft suiteGreat organizational skillsPositive and unifying leaderAbility to train and motivate employeesStrong verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to work overtime to ensure completion of work or for special projectsKWP is committed to employment equity and equal opportunity.
