Job Description
One of our food processing clients is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor at Brantford, ON location for their facility.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, and providing guidance to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, including conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging machines, and other machinery used in food processing.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain continuous operation.
- Coordinate and perform repairs on faulty equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and food safety standards.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels to support maintenance activities and minimize production interruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and repair logs, to track equipment performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities, including lockout/tagout procedures, PPE usage, and equipment guarding.
- Provide training to maintenance staff on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in maintenance operations, implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and other departments to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a food industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
- Millwright certified.
- Knowledge of budgets and financial statements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft computer programs
- Leadership, organizational skills, creativity, teamwork
- CMMS experience an asset
