Job Description

Our client, a leading CPG manufacturing company, is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join and lead their team in the Greater Toronto area. The Maintenance Manager will be a knowledgeable Maintenance leader with at least 8 years of experience in a Maintenance Manager role applying proven Maintenance best practices in a fast paced industrial environment. What You’ll do This role is responsible for leading and managing the maintenance department in production maintenance, facilities maintenance, scheduling, and parts rooms to include all aspects of equipment maintenance and reliability to increase production and overall product quality through a robust maintenance program. The Maintenance Manager promotes and maintains a safe working environment through compliance with the companies Health and Safety Program. Manage the work identification and optimization process. Maintain equipment though established effective preventative maintenance program and problem solving. Maintain facility/production line conditions to meet established GMPs and regulations. Establish and maintain departmental SOPs to meet this goal. Ensure processes meet or exceed government requirements. Manage the maintenance work planning and scheduling processes and ensure proper staffing levels and clear delineation between roles. Establish/manage a process to review the existing maintenance strategy when the equipment or operating practices change or when the equipment does not meet performance objectives. Prepare and manage capital budgets – track budget accounts for electricity, machinery supplies, outside services and maintenance labor. Accountable for the application of a condition monitoring and predictive technologies to meet the site's business goals and objectives. Who You Are: 8+ years’ experience in a Maintenance Manager role. 5+ years consumer packaged goods manufacturing experience required. BA Engineering and/ or Trades Certificate. Proven experience leading a diverse team through hands on mentoring, KPI’s and coaching while adhering to company standards. What will be offered: A competitive salary, bonus, and benefits.
