Job Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to work collaboratively with the client's Maintenance Execution, Asset Management, Asset Health and OEM teams to support the delivery of business objectives through the application of defect elimination, root cause analysis, project management, and troubleshooting equipment failures to maximize the efficiency of the assigned maintenance crew(s), and reliability of the operational assets. Reporting to the Superintendent ofAsset Management, the Maintenance Engineer will: Provide Engineering and troubleshooting support of maintenance execution, operation activities & ensure QA requirements are adhered too during the execution Identify, own and implement initiatives to deliver improvements in safety, asset performance & cost Initiate and facilitate root cause analysis to mitigate acute and chronic asset failures Establish/support good communications with maintenance and operations teams Attend morning shift handover meetings to understand short term area priorities and issues Lead defect elimination activities and RCA in support of maintenance team Liaise with reliability engineer to ensure accurate tracking of delays and defect elimination activities Provide technical support for planning team to identify and develop QA requirements for maintenance activities What you will need for this role To succeed in this role, you will have: B. S. Degree in Engineering or Technologist certification in a related discipline Minimum of 2 years of Industrial Experience Heavy industrial / processing environment. Experience in diagnosis and resolution of technically advanced problems. Good understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles. Ability to work in a Lean team environment. Understanding and application of condition monitoring techniques Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to apply Six Sigma Principles to the resolution of technically advanced problems Please note that you will be required to work in an industrial environment. This may include working at heights, dirty/dusty and noisy environments, and confined spaces. All personal protective equipment and site-specific training will be provided.
