Summary


The Maintenance Electrician will be responsible to carry out preventative maintenance, maintain the day-to-day operations and to assume responsibility for maintaining the physical activities of various assets of the Company including the general maintenance and upkeep of equipment and machinery to minimize production down time. The Maintenance Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining electrical, mechanical, and other related systems. The Maintenance Electrical Technician must be prepared to work as a team member and with minimal supervision, follow all safety and food safety procedures, and have a high threshold for heat in a manufacturing environment.


Job Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):


  • Responsible for installation and commissioning of machines.
  • Play an active role in all electric and electronic installations in any of the company premise.
  • Adhering to all policies, procedures and programs of the company (GMP, Quality, Food Safety and Health & Safety
  • Perform preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure they run efficiently with minimal downtime.
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, electrical code specifications and revise ladder logic
  • Troubleshoot, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic failures on various types of machines.
  • PLC and HMI troubleshooting including modification and calibration of equipment; weight scales, Check weigher, VFD and Servomotors.
  • Optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability, participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to PM schedules
  • Performs extensive troubleshooting of packaging and processing equipment. Detects errors and problems that limit performance of equipment.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in area of work by cleaning work area after each job is completed.
  • Performs changeovers and sets up production equipment.
  • Ensures a proper hand over is done at the end of each shift. etc) at all times.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
