Our client, a leader in the food production industry, is looking for a Maintenance and Reliability Manager for their plant in Delta, British Columbia. POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Reliability Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the Maintenance Department and the plant assets. This position requires initiative, leadership, excellent communication skills, and confidence regarding your technical and organizational talents. Your objective will be to improve the site reliability through technical preventative and proactive maintenance programs prescribed to both the equipment and the department.MAINTENANCE RELIABILITY MANAGER TASKS:Oversee and direct maintenance personnel, equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventative maintenance programs.Inspect and evaluate physical plant, grounds, and related equipment.Responsible for management of all 3rd party contractors to perform cost-effective repairs, preventive maintenance on building equipment, and building and grounds appearance.Manage all related maintenance supplies and critical spare parts inventory for equipment in the facility.Responsible for submission and overseeing all Capital Projects at the plant.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Direct efficient maintenance and safe operation of all equipment in compliance with company policy and government regulations.Responsible for team KPI’s, including OEE performance, work order completion, preventative maintenance program.Drives plant asset integrity and reliability program, including proactive maintenance programs, such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), maintenance scheduling (CMMS), and root cause analysis (RCA).Optimize cost through effective budget planning and management and service contracts.Identify skills required to maintain reliable performance, conduct gap analysis, and implement a program to increase the capability of the maintenance team.Optimize the spare parts inventory by utilizing tools such as Reliability Centered Maintenance and strategy.Responsible for Waste Water compliance based on the current permit with GVRD.Active member of Plant leadership including roles as HACCP team member and Health & Safety and SIM. Is committed to maintain and sustain the Company’s Food Safety Culture and overall Food Safety Systems including compliance to applicable laws & regulations as it pertains to Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), US Food & Drug Administration (FDA), and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).MANDATORY COMPLIANCE:Must follow and enforce the policies and procedures of plant HACCP/GMP program. Must follow and enforce all plant Health and Safety policies and procedures. Must follow and enforce the Food Safety and Quality Promise. Must lead by example.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONEngineering Degree/Diploma and/or relevant Trades designation5 to 10 years’ experience in various manufacturing environments5 to 10 years’ management experience in industrial maintenance or related fields preferredExperience with food processing, CFIA, HACCP, Continuous Improvement Process and/or lean manufacturing would be an asset.Experience working with SAP maintenance programsSuccessful track record of implementing continuous improvement related to maintenance systems and teams.Lean Manufacturing experience preferredStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Preferred experience with thermal forming equipment, dosing equipment, steam management & automation.Financial and budgetary skills.Knowledge of process/automation equipment related to the food industry is an asset or experience in advanced manufacturing practices in other industries such as pharma, CPG, or automotive will be considered.Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and demanding environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
