TITLE:Logistics Coordinator TERM:4 Month Summer Term LOCATION:661 Main Street DEPARTMENT:Administration REPORTS TO:Food & Nutrition Coordinator HOURS OF WORK:40 hours per week About the JobMain Street Project Inc. (MSP) is a not-for-profit charitable community health centre with a mandate to address the social determinants of health which give rise to issues of addiction, physical, and mental health issues and homelessness. MSP uses housing-first and harm reduction principles in the provision of a safe, respectful and accessible place for individuals who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in the community. Main Street Project has been serving the needs of Winnipeg’s most vulnerable residents since 1972. We offer programming and services to help our community members build stability – emergency shelter, mobile outreach, men’s, women’s, and non-binary withdrawal management, transitional and supportive housing, food and nutrition, case work, and protective care. The shipping and receiving clerk will coordinate and monitor Main Street Project’s supply chain operations.Receiving of purchased and donated items. Greeting donors and unloading and loading from courier and donor vehicles. Must be able to lift up to 50Lbs.Coordinate logistics staff (drivers) according to availability and requirement for pick-up and delivery of food and other essential items. Keep logs and records of available stock and orders. Distribution of inventory throughout the Agency stocking materials and equipment to meet needs.Assistance with donation drives for food, bottled water, other. Maintain a neat and organized work area. Performing other duties and additional responsibilities as required.Valid Driver’s License and customer service skills are an asset. Job Duties·Receiving deliveries and preparing all documentation to maintain the standards of our food safety program, and general supplies ·Receive donations, assist, and thank guests for their donations ·Ensuring all received materials are put away quickly ·Inventory Management ·Making sure that the warehouse and work area is clean and well organized ·Coordinating distribution of supplies throughout the agency with logistics team ·Working with Procurement to make sure that all product ordered is received according to our purchase orders General ·Complete all administrative duties and paperwork as assigned ·The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. to lift and move boxes and bags of purchased and donated items ·Make sure the exterior premise is clean, organized and free of debris ·Work closely with supervisors, logistics, and procurement ·Supporting our operations by maintaining excellent organization ·Supporting donation drives ·Must be resident in and eligible to work in Canada ·Valid Driver’s License We provide a passionate fast paced community environment where you will be immersed in our operations and service.
