Job Description:

1. Establish work schedules and procedures
2. Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
3. Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments
4. Perform routine clerical duties
5. Read blueprints, written specifications and production drawings
6. Prepare and submit reports
7. Arrange for maintenance and repair work
8. Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll and other summaries
9. Ensure proper functioning of equipment
10. Maintain work records and logs
11. Monitor personnel workloads and locations
12. Perform general office duties
13. Resolve work related problems
14. Co-ordinate traffic flow of supplies
15. Compile worksheets and specifications of orders
16. Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner
17. Prepare and maintain progress and other reports
18. Advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems
19. Keep track of shipments
20. Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
21. Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
22. Maintain vehicle operator work records
23. Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization
24. Record mileage, fuel use, repairs and other expenses
25. Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment
26. Organize and maintain inventory

Supervision: 5-10 people
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Windows, MS Office

Security and safety: Criminal record check
