Our prestigious downtown Toronto client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team.If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are looking to join a high-performing team, this is the opportunity for you!Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive legal assistant, clerical, and administrative support to two to three lawyers.Draft, prepare, and revise routine correspondence and legal documents.Draft various court and tribunal forms, and arrange for the service and filing of all necessary forms, corresponding documents, and pleadings.Communicate effectively with lawyers and clients.Schedule appointments, and coordinate travel and accommodations.Monitor deadlines, send reminders, and assist lawyers in preparing and filing timely responses.Assist in the preparation of briefs and records for trials and hearings, ensuring they are formatted according to the online court filing system specifications.Monitor, organize, and triage lawyers’ emails, responding to urgent client matters as directed.Maintain a tickler and bring-forward system to ensure important deadlines and tasks are tracked.Enter dockets and expense claims accurately.Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant.Prior experience with CaseLinesExperience with online court filingsDetail-oriented, organized, process-driven, and capable of independent thinking.High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe.Multitasking abilities, with excellent prioritization and time management skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.This role presents a great opportunity for a dedicated legal professional to contribute to a growing organization.If you meet the criteria above and are eager to embark on a new journey in your career we encourage you to apply.Kindly note, only candidates meeting the stipulated requirements will be contacted for further consideration.
