Our client, a reputable Toronto firm is currently looking for a Litigation Floater. This firm has an excellent culture and a lot of career development opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide administrative support such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, filing, and creating file folders;

- Organize documents for distribution, mailing and binding;

- Maintain lawyer’s calendars and emails;

- Arrange meetings, appointments, conference calls, etc.;

- Prepare and generate pre-bills for monthly billing, as needed;

- Draft routine correspondence and documents through transcription and copy-typing;

- Professionally interact with all firm members and clients;

- Preparing and maintaining a bring-forward system;

- Maintain paper and electronic filing system; and

- Any other duties as may be required.

Requirements:

- Law Clerk or Legal Assistant Diploma;

- 3+ years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant in a law firm;

- Hands-on experience working with transactional/complex documents within the Litigation environment;

- Experience using Automated Civil Litigation;

- Demonstrative understanding of Rules of Civil Procedure;

- Skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), CMS, InterAction, and ACL;

- A strong understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure;

- Hands-on experience with pre-bill administration (preferably using Elite);

- Familiarity working within a DMS system is an asset;

- Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency;

- Commitment to providing excellent client service;

- Problem-solving skills and the ability to be resourceful;

- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; and

- Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency.
