GIANT ANT FILMS - INTERIM Line Producer - 2D Animated Feature

Giant Ant Films is seeking an experienced Line Producer for our 2D animated feature film. As a Line Producer, you will work in partnership with key leadership roles such as clients, executive producers, director, director of production, and service studios to oversee production demands, budget, schedule, staffing, and ensure a positive and inclusive work environment for the studio and staff.
Working alongside the Director of Production, you will guide and troubleshoot the project through all stages of the pipeline, communicating effectively with various departments and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. You will also work with production coordinators to manage meetings, goals, and deadlines, ensuring that the production meets schedule and budget targets. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be responsible for creating clear lines of intercommunication between various teams on the production.
What you will be doing:
- Manage the production budget, ensuring that all expenditures are within budget and approved by the executive team.
- Maintain the production schedule, ensuring that all milestones and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with the Director of Production and creative heads to ensure that the vision for the film is realized on time and on budget.
- Oversee the hiring of production staff, and other key team members.
- Help manage contracts with vendors and service providers, including animation studios, post-production facilities, and equipment suppliers.
- Manage all aspects of the production process, from pre-production to final delivery, ensuring that the film meets all quality standards.
- Communicate regularly with the executive team, providing regular updates, and reports on production progress and any issues or concerns that may arise.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a Line Producer on an animated feature film or TV production, with thorough knowledge of animation production pipelines.experience in 2D is an asset
- Strong budgeting skills with experience in cost reporting.
- Excellent scheduling skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a large team of creative professionals, and communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of industry-standard production software and tools, including scheduling software, budgeting software, and production tracking systems like ShotGrid.
- Knowledge of Movie Magic is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address issues before they become problems.
- Organized and calm under pressure in your approach to work.
- Passionate about film and the creative process.

Salary Range - $110,000 - $120,000 (negotiable and dependent on a case by case basis).
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $110,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
