Limited Term Faculty (LTF) Position in Real Estate Management Posted: May 14, 2024 Deadline to Apply: Friday, June 14, 2024 Located in downtown Toronto, the largest and most culturally diverse city in Canada and on the territory of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee and the Wendat Peoples, the Real Estate Management department (REM) in the Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) at Toronto Metropolitan University www.torontomu.ca (formerly Ryerson University) invites applications for a Limited Term Faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in area of Real Estate Management with a focus on Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Economics, Real Estate Investments, and Real Estate Development. The appointment shall be effective July 1, 2024 for a one-year term, subject to final budgetary approval.The successful candidate will engage only in the teaching and service duties of faculty members in the Department, while maintaining an inclusive, equitable, and collegial work environment across such activities. The candidate will contribute to our undergraduate (BComm) and/or graduate (MScM/PhD) programs through teaching, mentoring, and supervision of students and facilitating junior scholars.Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in either Economics, Finance, Real Estate or Planning by the appointment date. In addition, the successful candidate must present evidence of:demonstrated capacity for teaching excellence at all levels of the undergraduate curriculum;commitment to our values of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion as it pertains to service and teaching, including a demonstrated ability to make learning accessible and inclusive for a diverse student population; andan ability to contribute to the life of the REM, TRSM, and the University through collegial service.Our committee recognizes that scholars have varying career paths and that career interruptions can be part of an excellent academic record.
