ITD is an industry leading manufacturer of transport trailers (vans and chassis) and specialty vehicles (expandable trailers). Our customers include hundreds of independent fleet operators and big-box stores across Canada who trust us with delivering an exceptional product, on time and on budget. The Opportunity:We are currently seeking a Mobile Mechanic 310J to join our team. Our Mechanic will responsible for daily and preventative maintenance and complete the required repairs on the trailers. The chosen candidate will provide quality customer service to our drivers, is safety focused and is a Licensed Mechanic 310J, with the opportunity to evolve into experience with hydrogen fuel cell and electric vehicles.Key Accountabilities:Provide onsite repairsInspect and diagnose issues quickly and repair immediate need itemsPerforming general trailer repairs on air brakes and electrical components. Experience with refrigeration is an assetConduct daily safety inspectionsOutline all parts used and input comments into the work order (complaint, cause and correction) regarding the repairInspect entire vehicle and ensure repairs are completeNotify Supervisor of any additional repairs requiredParticipate in formal and informal training sessionsPerform other maintenance duties as requiredSign off on safety certificationsQualifications:Provincial Ontario 310J Certification of Qualification (Truck or Trailer), or interprovincial designation from other provinceRegistered 310J with Ontario College of Trades (OCOT)Must be a Canadian citizen or have a valid work permitPrior work experience as a Technician on trailers; truck and/or mobile experience an assetPrior work experience on temperature controlled (reefer) trailers an assetSteel / aluminum welding experience (Stick/Mig/Tig) an assetValid G-class driver’s license requiredKnowledgeable with air brakes and electrical diagnosticsAble to use current technology to ensure vehicle safety and performanceSafety mindedWell-organized, enthusiastic, professional and a positive team memberAn opportunity to contribute to the company by continually making improvements and resolving issuesGood verbal and written communication skills, relationship building and interpersonal skillsWillingness to learn new skills
