Job Description

Safety-Kleen in Breslau, ON is looking for a Licensed Electrician (309A Certified) to join their safety conscious team! This individual will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of electrical systems and related equipment, as required. This individual will also be responsible to source Electrical Permits, Project Planning and conduct Electrical Inspections.

  • Demonstrate commitment to health and safety in the workplace by working in compliance with related policies, health and safety legislation, and housekeeping practices.
  • Work with other team members, maintenance groups, and refinery operational departments to ensure cost effective maintenance activities.
  • Utilize computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to maintain effective record keeping.
  • Perform routine electrical work and special projects.
  • Perform scheduled PM work.
  • Install, maintain, repair, or replace electrical wiring, equipment, and components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and make appropriate recommendations to resolve the issues.
  • Perform electrical testing and repairs on equipment such as: AC motors, MCC’s, VFD’s etc.
  • Install new equipment in a variety of environments to local regulations.
  • Perform a variety of other duties as assigned.
  • Licensed Electrician (309A) Certification is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience required.
  • EMT & Rigid conduit experience is required.
  • Cable tray & ladder tray experience is required.
  • Experience with CMMS.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Team oriented.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Ability to read electrical blueprints.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
