Job Description

The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of an attorney. This individual will communicate frequently with the clients to serve them adequately. Additionally, this candidate will conduct necessary case research to aid the legal proceedings. ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support to the lawyerHandle communication with clientsLocate and develop case-relevant informationAdministrative matters relating to files, including conflict checks, opening and closing files, docket entry, filing and accountsCalendar managementCommunication and follow up with various individuals Communicate with clients to arrange meetings, manage administrative matters and generally coordinate client-facing matters.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceFamiliarity with law, legal procedures, and protocolsMinimum of 3 years’ previous experience as a Legal Assistant Experience in commercial real estate law is an assetExperience in Conveyancer and TeraviewFlexible to work overtime as requiredHandle time-pressure situations Must have strong Microsoft Office 365 Suite of Applications skillsStrong communication skills; written and verbal
