If we’ve just described you, then this new position that bridges the worlds of training, learning design, IT, and change management is for you!MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:• Support the design, development, delivery, and implementation of various technical training tools and resources for different IT projects, training programs and courses, and organizational development initiatives. • Collaborate with internal software developers on upcoming changes and the development of in-house applications while staying up to date on developments in both commercial and custom-built software used by the organization. • Contribute to the coordination and administration of the Organizational Development team’s processes and systems, including Learning Management System administration, management of external vendors, creating and maintaining course catalogues, evaluation of data, research, and reporting.• Research and develop effective evaluation methods and tools for training courses and learning programs.• Work closely with the Information Technology department to identify and implement training and process improvements for effective user acceptance across all city departments. • Support the development and implementation of internal communication materials and resources to effectively build awareness and understanding of program standards, policies, and procedures. • Provide support and advice on administration, implementation, communications, and change management related to various organizational-wide programs and initiatives.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:• Knowledge and experience in the development and delivery of learning tools and resources, adult learning principles, and course design. • Knowledge and hands-on experience of enterprise and desktop applications, including Office 365 applications (Outlook, SharePoint Online and Teams), Learning Management Systems, e-Learning authoring tools, and mobile device training (tablets, phones). • Knowledge of trends in information technology relating to software and hardware. • Experience with building and maintaining course and participant databases. • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written), including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and external contacts. • Ability to organize and manage multiple competing projects in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. • Facilitation, presentation, and/or public speaking skills. QUALIFICATIONS:• A Diploma or Technical Certificate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Adult Education or a related field. • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the development, delivery, and implementation of learning programs, technical training, course instruction, and project management. • Related experience also includes working with learning management systems, information technology and systems training, and leading process improvement initiatives related to learning programs. • An equivalent combination of education and experience.Work schedule: Monday to Friday, (35 hour work week) Pay Band 3 ($82,239.09 - $96,750.99)  Job Code #3230 This is an exempt positionTo apply for this opportunity you will need to create an online profile or log back in to our career portal at www.victoria.ca/jobs - only online submission will be considered. All applications must be submitted online by 4:30 pm on the closing date noted on the posting.
