We are currently searching for an ambitious Lean Manufacturing Manager who is passionate about leading production teams through lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Plant Manager this is a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's operations to meet its strategic goals. If you share a "can do" attitude and have a "drive to suceed" this could be a perfect fit.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for overseeing the planning, coordinating, and supervising of day-to-day operations, targets and team responsibilitiesDevelop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's operationsIdentify areas for process improvement and develop and implement solutions to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectivenessAnalyze operational data to make informed decisions, identify trends, and recommend improvementsDevelop key performance indicators (KPI’s) to monitor shop floor performanceImprove the overall performance of your team through implementation of lean initiatives including standard work, leading kaizen events leveraging a cross-functional teamDevelp and train team with problem solving techniques to analyze, identify root cause and permanently correct problems, deploy 5S best practices within shopEnsure team members comply with quality requirements, provide training for operators for products and manufacturing processesEstablish/maintain work standards for product costing and productivity measurementEnsure shop supplies are ordered and tools and metrology equipment is calibrated and functioning correctlyCreate personal development plans with team members and provide timely feedback for growth and personal developmentOther projects as assigned by Plant ManagerQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations management, or a related field5 - 10 years production leadership experience in a manufacturing environmentDevelops a deep understanding of customers and their needs and provides alternative solutions to complex problemsData driven, creative thinker with an analytical mindExperience driving 5S/Kaizen, etc. events and lead teams through a lean transformationProven ability to work in a production environment and deliver established (KPIs)Knowledge of OSHA standards such as lock-out/tag-out and incident reportingPassionate about developing & coaching high potential employeesCreative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge, takes ownership and drives initiativesA team player who enjoys collaborating and working across boundariesExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenBrings a personal commitment to learn, grow and develop your career while assisting the company to become an "industry leader"
