In this role, youll utilize your experience, creative leadership, and team management skills to lead a highly collaborative team to design and build content for upcoming releases. Level Designers at Epic are a part of a cross-discipline content team working to develop great looking spaces which expand the Fortnite universe.In this role, you willLead a team of Level Designers to create fun and visually appealing buildings, landmarks, and POIs for Fortnite Battle RoyaleUse your creative leadership to focus design efforts around building competitive and compelling gameplay spaces that achieve seasonal goalsCollaborate with Directors to plan content that tells stories, pushing the narrative and storytelling in the worldWork with Art, Production, and Directors to establish vision and plan content for seasonal updates and work with the Gameplay team to implement map impacting features to the worldRepresent the Level Design team in meetings and planning, championing rules, metrics, budgets and guidelines for creating content for FortniteAttend playtests, provide feedback, and identify practical solutions to problemsMentor more junior members of the Level Design team, providing feedback, reviews, and growth planningWhat were looking forPrior experience leading a Multiplayer Level Design teamExperience leading teams building content for a GaaS modelDemonstrated ability to improvise and creatively solve problemsExperience working closely and communicating with artists, and Art leadershipHistory of designing and building multiplayer levels, ideally Battle Royale style play spacesExperience using a level editor (UE4/UE5, or similar)EPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEWe pay 100% for benefits for both employees and dependents and offer coverage for supplemental medical, dental, vision, critical illness, telemedicine, Life and AD&D, long term disability insurance as well as weekly indemnity (short term disability) and a retirement savings plan with a competitive employer match.
