The Opportunity

Office Location: Any of Manulife / John Hancock's Office locations in North America - Boston, MA-USA, Toronto-Canada, Waterloo-Canada, Montreal-Canada, Alphretta , GA-USA

Work Arrangement requirement: Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days from Home

Our team develops and ensures a reliable and scalable cloud network and network security within the cloud , managing network performance, planned maintenance, and real-time outages & issues.

What role will I play?

You will work with diverse technologies on a team of highly skilled Network and security Engineers responsible for the end-to-end ownership of the design, deployment, sustainability, performance, tuning and security of our current cloud infrastructure networks. You will also be responsible for documenting tickets and projects, along with troubleshooting guides.

  • You have expertise in cloud architecture and security fundamentals including Network, WAN connectivity to Cloud, Network solution for software-defined networks, high availability design and multi-cloud services.

  • You have provided network security architectural solution to all phases of the Cloud Program, including the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Cloud Application Architecture subprograms.


What will be expected of me?

  • Select, upgrades and integrates new technologies; maintains existing technologies

  • Resolves critical technical issues relating to software or hardware

  • Develops and ensures a reliable and scalable network, managing network performance, planned maintenance, and real-time outages and issues

  • Collaborates with other team members and groups to identify and develop scalable network designs, solutions, and policy recommendations

  • Ensures continued smooth operation of the global network infrastructure

  • Engages in and improve the lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement

  • Works with partner teams to build/re-use open source systems wherever possible to accelerate development and delivery of solutions

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$107,730.00 CAD - $200,070.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
