Job Description
The Lead Data Engineer holds a pivotal role in data governance, ensuring data accuracy and delivering valuable insights to the organization. Their responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of data developers, establishing governance frameworks, enforcing quality standards, and fostering collaboration across departments.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Oversee and guide a team of data engineers, offering mentorship, guidance, and support.
Conduct advanced data analysis to extract insights, patterns, and trends that will help the organization make data-driven decisions.
Establish and maintain a data governance framework that encompasses data retention and integrity while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
Define and enforce data quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent data quality across the organization.
Consistently enhance data quality standards, policies, and procedures to guarantee the integrity and reliability of data.
Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to correct and cleanse data as needed to meet established quality standards.
Work with cross-functional teams to analyze relevant data and insights, contributing to informed decision-making across departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in data governance and data analysis.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A methodical and logical approach to planning and organization
Excellent analytical skills
Proven ability to learn business processes and concepts
