Job Description

This position will provide deep technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and process development in the area of IT Control assessment services supporting the global RBC business and Technology team with an expected outcome of a stronger risk posture for RBC. This job adds value by providing deep Application and Infrastructure Control Assessment insights as well as managing and overseeing the control assessment processes to ensure compliance with policies, standards, regulations, and industry standards.

What will you do?

  • Lead and provide expert guidance in the IT Risk project/process enhancement initiatives.
  • Lead complex engagements for decision-making, problem-solving, implementation, and planning.
  • Drive continuous operational process improvement/optimization to improve service levels and quality of assessments.
  • Interface and build key relationships with stakeholders to ensure assessment and project objectives are met.
  • Provide technical support on complex control assessment engagements and act as a point of escalation providing senior management with updates on key concerns.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 3 years of experience in security consulting and demonstrated capability in delivering large projects/programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, Information Security, Computing, and Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications required: CISA, CISSP, and CRISC.
  • Successful at communicating effectively across diverse audiences and organizational levels.

Nice-to-have:

  • 8-10 years in Information Security.
  • Expert knowledge of ISO 27002, NIST 800 series, and COBIT control framework.
  • 3+ years of financial services or comparable multi-industry consulting experience.
