As Lead Concept Artist you will work with the development teams to create memorable instrument cosmetics, aura VFXs, and stage environments that exude personality and style. You will use your artistic expertise in color, composition, shape, and visual design to help push our iconic visual look. Your craft expertise in both character and environment design will provide the inspiration which will continue to push the boundaries of what Fortnite means to our players.In this role, you willCollaborate closely with the Art Directors and core development team to drive and visualize many different types of content across the Fortnite Festival and Battle Royale ecosystemInspire, mentor, and manage a team of Concept Artists and outsourcing vendorsProvide timely & detailed feedback for the concept art team and outsourcing vendorsCoordinate with other art, design, and production teams to help accomplish the goals of the productWhat were looking forWorked on at least one AAA game in a Lead Concept Artist roleHave a passion for and understanding of Fortnite’s unique visual stylesExperience working with IP partners is a plusPortfolio that demonstrates a range of styles, creativity and craftsmanshipEffective leader, collaborator, and problem solver able to coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure visual development that can serve as a visual benchmark for the teamExcellent organizational skills and ability to accurately estimate tasks and maintain schedulesStrong communication skills and understanding of various art disciplines (animation, character, environment, VFX)Excellent traditional artistic skills with a strong grasp of composition, anatomy, color theory, perspective, lighting, environment, architectural, character, costume and graphic designEPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEWe pay 100% for benefits for both employees and dependents and offer coverage for supplemental medical, dental, vision, critical illness, telemedicine, Life and AD&D, long term disability insurance as well as weekly indemnity (short term disability) and a retirement savings plan with a competitive employer match.
