We are expanding our creative team and are looking for a talented Lead 2D Game Artist to join us in creating stunning visuals for our live and upcoming games. Job Overview: The Lead 2D Game Artist will play a crucial role in producing high-quality art for multiple games at various stages of development. This position involves creating engaging and visually appealing game assets, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and eventually leading a team of artists. Initially, the focus will be on hands-on production work, with leadership responsibilities growing over time. Key Responsibilities: Create high-quality 2D art assets for various games, heavily focusing on UI elements and other game assets. Collaborate with game designers, developers, and other artists to ensure cohesive and visually appealing game aesthetics. Maintain a consistent art style across different projects while adhering to brand guidelines. Provide feedback and guidance to other artists to maintain high standards of art production. Manage art assets and ensure they are optimized for performance and usability. Stay current with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve art quality and efficiency. Prepare and present art concepts and progress updates to senior leadership. Over time, build and lead a team of 2D artists, providing mentorship and fostering a creative and productive work environment. Qualifications: Proven experience as a 2D artist in the gaming industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. Expertise in creating game assets using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator). Strong understanding of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling. Experience with animation and UI design for mobile games is a plus. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Leadership potential with the desire to mentor and grow a team of artists. Nice to have: Bachelor's degree in Art, Graphic Design, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
