POSITION SUMMARYReporting to the Group Director, Legal and Compliance, this position will provide administrative legal support to the internal legal team for the operations of the Company, its subsidiaries and business units. WHAT YOU WILL DO:Provides day-to-day legal administrative support for a variety of legal issues relating to the various operational and functional departments (e.g., Sales, Supply, IT, Finance, Corporate, etc.).Assists in identification and management of regulatory, risk prevention and compliance matters. Supports the legal team with corporate, financing, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. Maintains and manages corporate registrations, dealer and manufacturer, and business licenses including Canada and US renewals. Draft, reviews and interprets a wide range of legal documents and agreements (e.g., affidavits, non-disclosure agreements, etc.). Assists with management of litigation matters. Conducts research and reviews of legislation/regulations for legal team and the business.WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:Five to ten years of corporate/commercial litigation clerk or paralegal experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department. Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a strong ability to multi-task. Proven ability to work independently with a focus on confidentiality. Professional approach and attitude with the ability to converse and collaborate with team members at all levels of the organization.
