Land Surveyor / Survey Party Chief, Civil / Infra | Civil ContractorPosted 6 days ago Geomatics / Land Surveyor Our client, a leading Western Canadian geomatics firm, is seeking an experienced Land Surveyors, Survey Party Chief and Project Manager to join their surveying teams in Vancouver, Kamloops, Whitehorse and Fort St John. The busy offices is involved in complex legal and engineering surveying projects, throughout British Columbia. Duties include: Senior surveying project manager for a large variety of complex cadastral and engineering projects, from mixed-use air space subdivision to large infrastructure projects The position includes both field and office work – from budgeting, client development, client liaising, project research, calculations, staff supervision, final plan preparation and reporting Survey party chief for a large variety of surveying projects, including mixed-use air space subdivision, engineering, construction, and infrastructure projects The position includes both field and office work – from client liaising, project research, calculations, to the review of final plans and reports Ability to deal directly with clients Requirements: Ability to obtain BCLS and CLS Commission Survey project management experience, used to working on complex projects, often with tight time constraints UAV Licence would be an asset Past experience collecting and processing 3D laser scanning data Effective communications skills, both verbal and written English Familiarity with computer applications including AutoCAD Civil 3D, GPS data processing and least-squares analysis Minimum of 3+ years of surveying experience Effective communications skills, both verbal and written.
