Responsibilities Providing assistance for Machine Operators and Steel Fitters. Load and un-load trucks in yard Assist with taping areas Use of overhead cranes Snow Removal in winter months Requirements Completion of high school Previous experience in structural steel fabrication shop considered an asset Successful helpers will have an opportunity to advance and to apply and train for Welder, Fitter and Machine Operator positions As a member of the OSCO Construction Group, Ocean Steel & Construction Ltd. offers a comprehensive compensation package beginning after completing forty-five (45) working shifts, including seniority with Shopmen’s Local Unit No.809, overtime hours worked paid at time & a half; double time on weekends, health and dental coverage, life insurance and RRSP options.
