The OpportunityThe Junior Marketing Coordinator (6 month term with the possibility for extension) plays a vital role in Applied Research and Innovation Services’ (ARIS) future growth. Reporting to the Research Grants Manager, this role will support the development processes for enhancing ARIS brand and crafting an effective marketing plan, maintain the ARIS website and social media channels, and collaborate with the SAIT Marketing/Communications specialists. It is a key position to support ARIS’ Strategic Research Plan “Research Matters: Empowering Solutions through Innovation” and its objective “Promote the ARIS Hub”.The RoleDocument with clarity ARIS brand identity and identify ARIS audience (key stakeholders) with SAIT mar/comLinkedIn page:Make updates to the pageCreate a 1-year plan for posts (a content calendar)Start staff profiles ARIS Website: Support content development for each research centreUpdate “Our Experts” page Update and monitor the ARIS home pageCreate a template and distribution plan for an ARIS newsletter, and complete a few issues.Have open and continuous collaboration with SAIT Communications Specialist to build a list of ARIS stories and a marketing strategy Conduct an audit of available marketing opportunities at SAIT that ARIS is using, not using, or could be using betterBuild an ARIS marketing planQualificationsMinimum diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution, and 2 years experience in marketing support.Experience in fostering effective communication within and among multidisciplinary groupsOutstanding interpersonal and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDetail oriented, resourceful, innovative, flexible, accessibleAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including communication specialists and researchers.Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skillsStrong editorial and documentation skillsExperience in using word processing, spreadsheet, database and Internet applications and toolsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentAbility to quickly shift priorities; being nimble and adaptable in response to evolving circumstances and emerging challengesPreference will be given to current SAIT students and/or recent graduates.
