Teacher of Junior High Social Studies (grades 7, 8 & 9)
Since 1979, Foothills Academy Society in Calgary, Alberta, has been optimizing success for students with Learning Disabilities, and is a leader in working with children and youth with Learning Disabilities including dyslexia, and associated disorders such as ADHD. We are a Designated Special Education Private School for grades 3-12.
Foothills Academy is seeking a qualified and experienced Junior High Social Studies teacher for Grades 7, 8 & 9. This is a full-time position commencing August 21st 2024.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Alberta Teaching certification (required)
Excellent teaching evaluations and professional letter of reference
Experience teaching Junior High Social Studies (grades 7, 8 and 9)
Experience working with students with Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD, and interaction with associated reports and IPPs/IEPs
Experience teaching electives and extracurricular activities
