Job Description

Reporting directly to the Senior Graphic Designer, the Junior Graphic Designer is an integral member of the National Marketing team, responsible for designing and producing consistent, high-quality, and brand-compliant digital and print creative assets (e.g., social, tactical, desktop/mobile, point-of-purchase, etc.) The position requires keen attention to detail, a positive, flexible, and solution-oriented approach, and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Primary

• Design and produce consistent, high-quality, and brand-compliant marketing assets (e.g., print, technical drawings, digital, ads, social media, point of purchase materials, events, etc.) on time and to the necessary specs.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to fulfill ad hoc internal and external design requests.

• Ensure creative briefs are translated into fresh, compelling concepts/executions that support business objectives.

• Manage multiple projects, adjusting priorities to ensure timelines are met.

• Actively seek out and take advantage of opportunities to promote the brand.

• Advise on best practices and identify/implement optimizations at every stage of the design process.

• Perform miscellaneous tasks to support National Marketing goals, based on management requirements/instructions.

Secondary

• Provide professional customer service and support to all stakeholders

• Follow established company policies and procedures

• Participate in meetings and training, as required

• Follow Health & Safety Program and observe provincial Occupational Health & Safety regulations

Qualifications

Education

• Post-secondary diploma/degree in graphic design or related field

• Intermediate to advanced experience with Adobe Creative Cloud programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro, & After Effects)

Skills

• Keen understanding of and skill in graphic design, layout, and execution using Adobe Creative Cloud Programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier Pro, & After Effects)

• Experienced in digital design (i.e., email, desktop, mobile)

• Able to multitask, work, and prioritize projects effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Flexible team player, multitasker, and creative problem-solver

• Effective and professional interpersonal, communication, time-management, and collaboration skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Photo editing/retouching skills

• Proven ability to be a team player, relationship builder, and company representative

• Proven excellence in design and production

• Experience in FR an asset but not a requirement

Experience

• Two (2) or more years of experience in graphic design

• Automotive/dealership retail experience is an asset

Requirements
