Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Junior Graphic Design Specialist will have a significant role in shaping Company identity and creating visually appealing materials that resonate with our target audience both inside and outside of the company.What you will do: The Junior Graphic Design Specialist is responsible for producing engaging and impactful layouts for a wide range of projects, including reports, presentations, signage, and branded collateral.Key responsibilities:Create visually exciting and informative presentations for both internal and external use, encompassing pitches, webinars, and reports.Collaborate with content creators, executives, and key stakeholders to develop and implement design concepts that are in line with project objectives. Refining and iterating designs based on feedbackPartner with the Human Resources team to craft engaging visuals for internal digital and print initiatives aimed at boosting employee engagement.Help enhance the design and upkeep of the Prin Cowan Insurance Group intranet to ensure a visually appealing and user-friendly interface, while also creating engaging visuals to elevate the presented content.What you will bring:Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or the Liberal Arts with equivalent work experience.1+ years of progressive professional experience in a graphic or media layout design role with key responsibilities including presentation design and visual layout production.Experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite of tools, including, but not limited to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.Experience with MS office 365, expertise with MS PowerPoint.Experience in a B2B environment, insurance preferred.Self-starter with healthy business curiosity and an intrinsic desire to continually learn and grow.Excellent verbal and written skills for engaging a range of audiences - internal, media, prospects, clients, industry partners, etc.Who we are: Proudly independent and Canadian-owned, Cowan Insurance Group has been a true market leader in the insurance industry since 1927.
