We are always open to supporting a flexible work schedule.Description:Under the supervision of the Director and/or Team Lead, the Junior Architectural Technologist must prepare plans and specifications in compliance with applicable laws, standards, and the relevant Building Code. They must have a good knowledge of building systems, materials, and details.Responsibilities:Conduct inspections and surveys to determine site conditions.Prepare plans and technical details of construction.Write reports and official documents.Check laws, standards, and codes.Provide cost estimates.Communicate with the Client and various stakeholders and attend meetings.Provide administrative support to the Project Manager.Provide technical support to the less experienced members of the team.May be called to do project management, depending on the circumstances.Skills & Competencies:Excellent communicator (written and spoken). French is an asset but not required.Control of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, MS Office Suite, and Adobe Suite.Allsoftware mentioned is used in office, experience with these is an asset.Control of the various relevant codes and regulations (QBC, OBC, NBC, municipal by-laws).Membership from a professional order (OTPQ, OAQ, OAA) or any other certification is an asset.A driving license (Class 5) and/or any other license is an asset.Thisindividual may be required to conduct site visits and must be able totravel with no restrictions.Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision, prioritize customer service and enjoy teamwork.Be enthusiastic, organized, autonomous, versatile, and proactive.Demonstrate pedagogy and patience.Requirements:College or university diploma in architecture.Minimum of 3 years of architectural experience.Additional Information:Full time, permanent, 40h/week.Salary: $45,000-60,000, according to experienceBonus programProbationary period of 3 months.Benefits (group insurance and pension fund).3 weeks of paid vacation per year.Theoffice is closed for 2 weeks time over the Christmas holidays, paid timeoff for staff including 1 of the 3 weeks paid vacation.“All you hear is people laughing and enjoying themselves.
