Job Description

Robert Half is searching for a Jr. Finance Business Partner who will play a vital role in the organization, directly supporting the Finance Business Partner. Key responsibilities include providing financial analysis for decision-making, coordinating annual budgets and quarterly estimates, ensuring accurate month-end closings and global reporting, and collaborating with managers on efficiency projects while offering financial insights for business plans. This permanent role is for a Jr. Finance Business Partner in the Kitchener, Ontario, area. Your responsibilities: - Gather and analyze financial data, generate reports and statements for ISC functions (Production, Logistics, Procurement), and manage relevant stakeholders. - Ensure the timely and high-quality completion of the Month-End Closing process, including preparing the latest estimates and budgets for ISC functions. - Simplify, structure, and enhance transparency in reporting to improve efficiencies within ISC finance processes. - Monitor and track savings initiatives and overall cost development within ISC functions, ensuring transparency and follow-up. - Actively participate in developing strategies for local ISC functions and assist in the annual budgeting process and estimate preparation. - Ensure the structured and rigorous development of business cases and investments. - Support Group and local initiatives through data gathering and analysis, ad-hoc reporting, scenario development and validation, and other finance-related tasks to facilitate informed decision-making. - Conduct accurate variance analysis, identifying risks and opportunities. - Ensure proper utilization of ERP and other reporting and analysis systems within designated areas of responsibility. Qualifications: - A University/College degree in accounting is required. A professional accounting designation (such as CPA) or actively working towards one is considered an asset. - 3 years of experience in an accounting role, with at least one year in controlling, significantly focused on supply chain functions (production, logistics, procurement). - Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Power BI is an asset. - Hands-on experience with accounting databases and ERP systems (e.g., MS Business Central). - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. - Strong analytical skills and the ability to think in terms of cause and consequence.
