Job Description

Our client in the food industry is looking for an IT Support technician on a fulltime basis to support Tier 1 issues in their manufacturing plant location.Location: ON SITE - Brampton officeResponsibilities:Provide first-line investigation and diagnosis for all IT incidentsLog all incidents/service requests into incident management system. Keep users informed of progress.Maintain accurate inventory of all hardware and software resources and parts.Provide basic training and demos for staff.Create support documentation for staff.Configure, install PC, label printers and cablingSetup, configure and deploy desktop/laptop/tablet computers and associated peripherals/IT equipment.Deploy and troubleshoot printers, scales and scanners, RFID readers, digital clocks, time & attendance terminals.Support and troubleshoot software and applications such as Windows 10, Office SuiteWork with various vendors as required to support their systems in the plant.Deploy and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks including installing cabling, basic network troubleshooting.Provide Active Directory support such as creating computer accounts, resetting user passwordsPolicies, Processes & Procedures - follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Requirements:4+ years experience supporting IT equipment in a plant environment such as PC’s (hardware and software), printers, scanners, handheld devices and different vendor equipmentGood understanding of general electronics and experience with troubleshooting preferably in a manufacturing environmentAnalytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities.A+ IT technician certificationMicrosoft Certification such as MCSA would be desirable
