Hybrid Work Model

This position is located in our Victoria, BC office. You will have the opportunity to work part of the time on-campus and part of the time off-campus. Guidelines and requirements for in-office presence are determined by operational need and vary according to the unique needs of each business area.

The opportunity

We are seeking an IT Hybrid Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in VICTORIA, British Columbia, Canada.

The IT Hybrid Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the implementation, delivery, monitoring, and support of internal and external client facing cloud-based systems (e.g. Azure, OCI, M365) and traditional infrastructure technologies. This specialist will play a subject matter expert role for Microsoft Azure, M365, End Point Device Management, Microsoft Exchange, Identity Management, Windows, Unix Systems administration and have the working knowledge and skills required to provision, manage, monitor, support, and decommission related services.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

• A Bachelor's Degree, technical diploma and/or equivalent experience in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Three or more years of relevant experience in on-premise infrastructure management in a Windows or UNIX environment (e.g. servers and applications, Exchange, etc.), including upgrades and change planning (e.g. coordination of changes, process improvement, technical documentation) and providing higher tier (2+) support and troubleshooting of issues.
• Three or more years of relevant expert knowledge and experience in managing a variety of Microsoft cloud technologies including, but not limited to Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and synchronization with Active Directory, Entra ID, administration of user services on Exchange Online, MS Teams, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Autopilot and other services, including providing higher tier (2+) support and troubleshooting of issues.

Nice to have

• Preference may be given to candidates with the following experience:
  
  • IAC using Terraform/Terraspace and Github
  • Managing and maintaining a hybrid infrastructure between on-premises and cloud (e.g. Entra ID and Azure Active Directory, Hybrid Exchange, etc.).
  • Managing and configuration of Microsoft Teams, including voice services, copilot and other features.
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) for iOS, Android, and Hybrid joined Windows 11 devices.
  • Automating system administration using scripting/PowerShell
  • Windows Always On VPN
  • Working with a variety of vendors and third parties
